It’s been a while since my last post. This one’s about my new watch and css custom properties. Also known as css variables. You can define a variable in :root and then use it anywhere on the site. It’s pretty nifty.

Happy new year everyone! (I know, I’m posting this early) php echo parsing can be tricky, but some simple rules can help. Like “” to mix variables with characters. And using a period to connect different types. There’s a lot more to explain but that covers the bare basics and that’s what’s used in the post.

I’ve touched on this before, but :nth-child selectors are not only helpful in isolating single elements (:nth-child(3)) but also, with formulas, great at making patterns (like table rows) or ui elements (like grids). Remember n starts at zero!
